The best things in life are sweet.
Freshly baked cinnamon rolls are paired with a cup of local Cutters Point coffee while I watch the seagulls drift by in the morning sun.
It doesn’t get much sweeter than that, does it?

Time is measured by earth's revolution around the sun.
One day is measured by earth's revolution around its axis.
One moment is a division of one day.
These days all moments blur together
December 7. Pearl Harbor Day.
On this day, 77 years ago, the day that would live infamy, bombs stormed over Pearl Harbor. Several hours later, Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands. My Father was a Philippine Scout being trained under the command of the United States Army at Fort Stotsenberg the day that Japanese fighters appeared in the sky, firing over troops that had only a few hours earlier received word about the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Dreamer....one man's legacy...one family's purpose...
Today my father would have been 98 years old.At his bedside in 1998, twenty years ago, he quietly revealed to my older sister his story of approaching the Golden Gate Bridge on the deck of a ship, she barely old enough to stand at his side as they passed under the monument that signified his entry into America.“We will have a good life here,” he whispered into her ear.
Keep Believing
I remember the point when I switched from hopeful to "that's it."
The clock was ticking away when my hometown Seattle Seahawks finally got a breakthrough touchdown after being scoreless the entire first half. Hope would rise then fall with each possession, crushed after an interception with five minutes left.
